Päivän luku 76
Otetaan esille keikka vuoden -76 kiertueelta. Tällä keikalla soitettiin koko Born To Run -levy, ei tosin järjestyksessä, mutta kaikki
biisit olivat settilistassa.
1976-04-04 - MSU AUDITORIUM, MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, EAST LANSING, MI
NIGHT (3.01) / TENTH AVENUE FREEZE-OUT (4.01) / SPIRIT IN THE NIGHT (6.04) / IT'S MY LIFE (8.44) / THUNDER ROAD (5.41) / SHE'S THE ONE (6.26) / BORN TO RUN (4.15) / FRANKIE (6.38) / MEETING ACROSS THE RIVER (3.25) / BACKSTREETS (7.24) / GROWIN' UP (3.29) / IT'S HARD TO BE A SAINT IN THE CITY (5.28) / JUNGLELAND (9.27) / ROSALITA (COME OUT TONIGHT) (cut in middle, 9.51) / RAISE YOUR HAND (3.15) / 4TH OF JULY, ASBURY PARK (SANDY) (6.14) / DETROIT MEDLEY (8.25) / QUARTER TO THREE (6.44)
Very good audience tape and partial soundboard. Show features "Thunder Road" with a new piano introduction. A rare version of "Meeting Across The River" (which is the full band version rather than a solo piano rendition previously used) and the earliest known recorded "Raise Your Hand", although it was played earlier than this. "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)" features an extended mariachi-style introduction. This is also one of the few known times that the whole of the Born To Run album is played. Released on CDs 'Livin' Rock 'n' Roll' (Real Thing), 'Hidden Worlds That Shine' (E Street) and Ev2's remaster of the latter titled 'Rise Like the Rain'. One of the best recordings from the tour and a fine show. Thanks to Per for set details. Click the link above to read a review of the show from the Michigan Daily, 'Springsteen underwhelms MSU'.
